First check the instrument and units. Then record the scenario and invalidation. Calculate money risk and quantity before choosing leverage. Account for fees, rounding, minimum orders and distance to liquidation. Check protective-order status after partial fills. Record the decision before the outcome. Reject a situation you cannot explain.
